The Melaspas ceremony is practiced in Bali for several main reasons:

2. Harmonization with the universe: Melaspas is also a way to connect with the universe and to request the blessings and necessary vibrations for the construction to function in harmony with its environment and the forces of nature.
3. Respect for traditions and culture: In Bali, religion and spirituality play a central role in daily life. Melaspas is an integral part of Balinese culture and is perceived as an act of respect towards ancestors, gods, and spirits.
